In San Francisco, the police decided not to publish any more photos of wanted criminals. This decision was made to “end racial stereotyping” as well.
This was stated by CPO Bill Scott.
Photos of suspects who “do not pose a threat to the public,” will not be disclosed online or in the media.
Most suspects are dark-skinned. Therefore, to “not create an unfair association,” their faces will not be published. That’s a very strange logic.
