The US President Donald Trump approved the withdrawal of part of the American contingent from Germany. This is stated in a message on the Pentagon website.
9.5 thousand American soldiers will be withdrawn from Germany. Now there are 35 thousand troops.
“The approved proposal not only complies with the presidential directive, it also helps contain Russia, strengthen NATO, strengthen the trust of the allies, improve the strategic flexibility of the United States and the operational flexibility of the US European command, and also serve as a concern for our military personnel and their families”, – the report said.
