In China, parliament passed Hong Kong’s national security law. This was reported by Reuters, citing local television.
The document was unanimously supported by the highest decision-making body of the Chinese parliament.
Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam declined to comment on the law.
So far, the draft law has not been published. It aims to combat subversive activities, terrorism, separatism and collusion with foreign forces.
