Protests in the U.S. forced one of the states to change its flag

Protests continue in the U.S., which is provoking a lot of change in the country. So, one of the states has changed its symbols.

The Mississippi Legislative Assembly voted to change the flag. The Confederate symbols that had been on it since 1894 were removed.

The state House of Representatives approved the Flag Change Bill with 91 votes in favour and 23 against, and the Senate with 37 votes in favour and 14 against.

A commission will be established to change the flag. There will be no confederates’ battle flag left on it, but the motto “We trust in God” should appear. The final version should be presented no later than September 14 of this year.
The Mississippi was the last state to have the Confederate flag on it.
