The expert explained what the Russian Federation would do if Kyrgyzstan followed the Ukrainian scenario

This was told by the head of the Central Asia and Kazakhstan department of the Institute of the CIS countries, Andrey Grozin, evaluating the prospects for a coup in Kyrgyzstan under the Euromaidan scenario for the Ukraina.ru publication.

He noted that today among the Kyrgyz political elites there is interest in the revolutionary scenario in order to “redistribute the power under this business.” According to him, such desires “always exist” in the republic.

If Kyrgyzstan is made an anti-Russian state, as was done with Ukraine, Moscow will have to evacuate the air base from there. Grozin explained that formally we are talking about the base of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, but in fact the base is Russian. In addition, he continued, the republic has a network of other objects that are of interest to Russia from a defense point of view.

“For example, if we lose Kyrgyzstan, as it was in Ukraine, then Russia will be able to resolve its problems, as it did before, unlike other countries in the post-Soviet space. But why do this? Even without Kyrgyzstan, we have bottlenecks where a prompt and serious reaction is needed, ” the expert stated.
