U.S. President Donald Trump said that he will not leave NATO countries until they start, by his standards, “sufficient” defense funding.
“I won’t be satisfied until everyone pays enough”, – he said.
Trump said only eight countries of the Alliance are meeting their financial obligations in full, he said. In particular, he attacked Germany, which spends less than 2% of GDP on defense.
The American president noted that he disagreed with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who believes that good work has been done in the direction of funding.
