Media: China is building a new military camp on the border with India

According to journalists, satellite images of the American company Maxar Technologies prove the activity of the Chinese military in the disputed territory.

According to TASS, citing Reuters, Chinese soldiers are erecting a new fortified camp on the line of de facto control in Ladakh, an area where this month clashes with Indian soldiers occurred.

As evidence, the agency cites satellite images from the American company Maxar Technologies.

“The photos were taken on Monday and show the Galwan Valley, where clashes occurred between Indian and Chinese military forces on 15-16 June. They show that tents have appeared in the territory controlled by the Chinese army and a fortified camp is being erected,” Reuters notes. “In the pictures taken a week before, these structures do not exist.

Similar information about Chinese People’s Liberation Army activity in Ladakh is provided by Indian newspapers.

“Chinese soldiers are building a camp with firing positions for machine guns at the site of a Chinese observation point previously destroyed by the Indians”, –  The Times of India reports.
