Juan Guaido, who was trying to seize power in Venezuela, fell out of favor with the United States. President Donald Trump said he was considering meeting with the legitimate head of state, Nicolas Maduro.
“I would perhaps think about it. Maduro would like to meet. And I never oppose meetings – you know, I rarely oppose meetings”, – he said.
At the same time, Trump noted that he was not enthusiastic about the decision of his administration to support Guaido. Apparently, he was simply disappointed in him, and decided to hang the blame for the wrong decision on his environment.
