The Kremlin is worried about the situation on the border between India and China, but they are confident that both countries will show wisdom and independently be able to avoid exacerbations. The position of Moscow was voiced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
“The events that occurred on the Sino-Indian border, of course, cause concern, because both India and China are our very close allies and countries with which we are really connected by relations of mutual respect, very developed economic cooperation in various fields. Therefore, of course, we are concerned about this incident, ” said Peskov.
He added that Russia is always ready to offer its services and assistance in resolving complex conflict situations between countries that are its partners. Peskov also said that all BRICS member countries remain interested in holding summits and they will be held, albeit with a shift in the timing.
“We hope and are confident that both Delhi and Beijing will show diplomatic and political wisdom in order to independently, without the intervention of any states, find such formulations that will allow us to avoid such exacerbations in the future,” he concluded.
