Representatives of the Democratic Party of Moldova were on the list of potential participants in the pro-Western opposition plan to remove the government of Ion Kiku.
This was announced by the deputy of the party “Dignity and Truth” Igor Munteanu.
According to him, on Monday the first round of negotiations on the resignation of the executive branch will take place. He noted that now the opposition is trying to lure Democrats to its side, which will entail the collapse of the current parliamentary majority of Socialists with PDM.
“On Monday we will meet again with the Democratic Party and the Action and Solidarity Party to conduct negotiations,” the deputy said, noting that he could not provide more detailed information.
Muntean expressed hope that during the negotiations the pro-Western forces will be able to find out the position of the Democrats regarding the prospects of forming a new government. In addition, he stressed that the opposition intends to find out how soon PDM can withdraw from the alliance with the socialists.
