The United States suspects that nuclear materials could have been located at three sites in Iran, including two that the IAEA is seeking access to, said Assistant Secretary of State for Non-Proliferation Christopher Ford at a briefing.
“Now there is evidence of potential undeclared nuclear materials or activities at a certain number of facilities in Iran. There are two facilities to which the IAEA requested access, and there is one facility at which … data on uranium particles were found, and this suggests potential the presence at some point of undeclared nuclear material, “said Ford.
On Friday, the IAEA Board of Governors adopted a resolution calling on Iran to provide access to the two sites that the agency wants to visit. Russia and China voted against.
