The U.S. president’s visit to the city of Tulsa has forced local authorities to urgently strengthen security measures, as a rally by Donald Trump could turn into a riot.
This was reported by “The Washington Post,” referring to the decree of Mayor George Binum.
The document says that curfew is imposed for the period from Friday to Saturday. Two nights citizens will be forbidden to stay outside from 22:00 to 6:00. The decision is caused by the fact that Trump’s first election rally in several months may turn into a mass riot, as the visit of the president has caused discontent among citizens.
“Representatives of organized groups, which have been involved in destructive and violent behavior in other states, plan to come to the city of Tulsa in order to cause unrest during the rally”, – the order says.
The publication notes that Trump’s supporters, who have already set up a tent camp to take the best place at the upcoming rally, also had to disperse.
