The Sea-Watch 3 saved almost a hundred migrants

According to the crew, among the rescued are women and minors. The search aircraft also found another boat with migrants on board.

The rescue boat Sea-Watch 3 assisted more than 90 migrants in distress, including women and minors, who were in a boat about 30 nautical miles off the Libyan coast.

Sea-Watch 3 representatives tweeted on Wednesday that several rescued people received immediate medical treatment aboard the rescue ship. Meanwhile, a search aircraft of the German relief organization found another disaster-prone boat with about 70 people on board off the coast of Libya.

The rescue vessel Sea-Watch 3 set sail a few days ago from Messina, Italy, to the Libyan coast and patrolled the waters between Libya and Malta. Before that, the vessel had been quarantined for a long time and had not gone out to sea due to the danger of coronavirus spreading.
