Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived on his first foreign visit to Serbia after the pandemic. At the airport, the Russian delegation was met by the chairman of the government, the head of the republic’s diplomatic mission, Ivica Dacic.
Lavrov, unlike other members of his delegation, left the plane without a mask, the Serbian minister also stood out against the background of those who were met by the absence of a medical mask and gloves. Belgrade has officially lifted restrictive sanitary measures. However, Serbian journalists and diplomats are taking precautions.
From the airport, the ministers went to the presidential palace to meet with Serbian leader Alexander Vučić.
Photographers and videographers were admitted to the protocol. The conversation is also without masks.
Earlier, Serbia requested assistance in combating the pandemic from Russia. From April 3 to May 18, the Russian combined detachment carried out a complete disinfection of medical institutions and socially significant facilities in more than 40 settlements of the republic.
