Five Afghan security forces personnel were killed and seven more injured in an attack by Taliban militants in Kunduz province in the north-east of the country, Tolo News reported.
According to a source in the security forces, the attack occurred in one of the districts of the city of the same name Kunduz on Tuesday evening. The militants attacked the checkpoints and, according to the source, “stole two army Humvee SUVs”.
“The clashes continued early Wednesday morning”, – the source added. No casualties were reported among the attackers.
