India remains a promising, demanded and very necessary partner, relations between India and Russia have much in common, Russian Ambassador to India Nikolai Kudashev told Russian the reporters.
“We, of course, have a lot in common in our bilateral relations. We are closely cooperating with Indian friends on the critical topics of today – this is the fight against the pandemic. We stayed on parallel courses and have a deep understanding on the need to preserve and reform the World Health Organization. Dialogue continues within the framework of the G20, and the BRICS and SCO ministerial meetings took place”, – the ambassador said.
He also noted the expansion of regional cooperation in relations between the two countries.
“The field of interaction has expanded in our regional affairs within the framework of integrations. The concept of a large Eurasian partnership has evolved. From an initial look at this concept, as a set of groups of countries, for example, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and ASEAN countries (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), this concept has evolved towards a broader education – a large Eurasian partnership, as the core of the zone of global prosperity and equal security”, – said Kudashev.
The ambassador noted that there is a lot of new things in international affairs, on the big global agenda.
“India is elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, where it goes with the concept of reformed multilateralism and the concept of humanity as one family. It will be interesting to probe the common ground of our interests within these views. The main thing is that the support parameters of these attitudes are a course towards multilateralism and international rights, to respect the central role of the UN in world affairs – they have not changed”, – the ambassador said.
