A sociological study conducted in 53 countries showed that China has surpassed the United States in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus, but this is not always believed.
The survey was organized by the German company Dalia Research and the Democracy Alliance Foundation. The study involved 120 thousand people.
According to the survey, residents of Greece (89%), Taiwan (87%), Ireland (87%), South Korea, Australia and Denmark (all 86%) are most satisfied with the results of the government in the fight against the epidemic. At the bottom of the list were Brazil, France, Italy, the USA and Great Britain.
Moreover, more than 60% of respondents said that the United States coped with the epidemic worse than China. A third of respondents are of the opposite opinion. According to the study, the Americans gave leadership to Taiwan, South Korea and the United States.
The survey also showed that only a third of Europeans consider the United States a positive force for world democracy. 50% think the opposite. Even greater rates are observed in China. There, 64% of respondents believe that the United States has a negative impact on democracy around the world. This is 26% more than last year.
