The U.S. has handled the coronavirus better than China – only three countries in the world believe so

A sociological study conducted in 53 states showed that China has outperformed the U.S. in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus, but this is not believed everywhere.

The survey was organized by the German company Dalia Research and the Alliance of Democracies Foundation. The survey was attended by 120 thousand people.

According to the survey, residents of Greece (89%), Taiwan (87%), Ireland (87%), South Korea, Australia and Denmark (all 86%) are the most satisfied with the government’s results in fighting the epidemic. At the bottom of the list are Brazil, France, Italy, USA and the UK.

However, more than 60% of respondents said that the United States has managed the epidemic worse than China. One third of those surveyed said the opposite. According to the study, Taiwanese, South Koreans and the US themselves gave leadership to the Americans.

The survey also showed that only a third of Europeans see the United States as a positive force for global democracy. 50% believe it is the other way around. Even higher figures are observed in China. There 64% of respondents think that the USA has negative influence on democracy all over the world. This is 26% more than last year.
