Mass protests in support of the Serbian Orthodox Church resumed in Montenegro after a three-month break. Believers walked through the streets of the cities, maintaining a safe distance. Metropolitan of Montenegro-Primorsk held a prayer service, after which the parishioners held a procession. Thousands of people took part in it.
In December last year, the Montenegrin authorities adopted a law on the legal status of religious communities. It provides for the seizure of church property from the Serbian Orthodox Church. Those are almost 700 shrines, including the Ostrog Monastery, which is known in the Orthodox world.
