The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine arrested Andriy Kich, who is involved in a bribe in the amount of six million dollars to the heads of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of the country.
“To apply a measure of restraint to the suspected Kich in the form of detention for 60 days from the date of actual detention, that is, until August 10, 2020. Determine the security deposit of 40 million 358 thousand 400 hryvnias (1.5 million dollars, – ed.)”, – the judge ruled.
Earlier, the Ukrainian law enforcement officials announced an attempt to bribe $6 million for closing the case of embezzlement of money and laundering the proceeds of crime.
A bribe was offered to the heads of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anti- Corruption Bureau for closing a criminal case.
According to one version, it was about closing the case regarding the Burisma company, which includes the former Minister of Ecology of Ukraine Nikolai Zlochevsky.
