On Saturday, protesters blocked the main highway in Atlanta and set Wendy fast food restaurant on fire, near which police shot and killed a black man who was trying to avoid being arrested.

This incident could provoke even greater tensions in the country due to racial discrimination and police misconduct.
According to local media, the restaurant was being on fire for more than 45 minutes until fire brigades arrived. By that time, the building was turned into charred debris next to a gas station.
Earlier on Saturday, city police chief Erica Shields resigned due to the murder of a 27-year-old Richard Brooks, who got into numerous videos that scattered on social networks (the first video in the attached).
The head of the police department, Carlos Campos, announced the dismissal of an officer who allegedly shot and killed Brooks. Another employee involved in the incident was placed on administrative leave. Both officers were white.
Brooks’ death followed weeks of demonstrations in major cities in the United States caused by the death of George Floyd, an African American who died May 25 after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes, holding him back.
After setting Wendy’s is on fire, the protesters/rioters now set other small fires & looting a gas station.
