The radical Taliban announced the release of 76 previously captured Afghan soldiers and police. This was reported on the page of the representative of the Qatari political office of the movement Mohammad Sohail Shahin on Twitter.
“Today, 46 soldiers and police officers related to the Kabul administration have been released,” the publication said.
According to him, prisoners were held in Taliban prisons in the provinces of Wardak and Ghazni.
“In addition, 30 soldiers belonging to the Kabul administration and recently detained in Ghazni have been released as a goodwill gesture,” Shahin added.
