Russian President Vladimir Putin in a conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel praised Cairo’s mediation in a peaceful settlement in Libya, according to the Kremlin press service.
“The Russian side gave a positive assessment of Egypt’s mediation efforts in the peaceful settlement of the Libyan crisis as a follow-up to the Berlin International Conference on January 19”, – the report says.
