A Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Opposition Platform – For Life party accused the Ukrainian authorities of concealing the truth about the activities of U.S. military bio-laboratories in Ukraine.
Kuzmin said that the MPs of the Opposition Platform – For Life received a response from the head of state to their numerous requests to explain the details of the activity of US military bacteriological laboratories in Ukraine. In his response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that since national security issues do not fall within his remit, he forwarded requests to the head of the government and the Health Ministry.
According to Kuzmin, the Health Ministry received “two mutually exclusive answers” from the ministry. One answer, signed by the Healthcare Minister, said that there were “no American biological laboratories”, while the other stated that the laboratories “do not carry out economic activity in Ukraine”.
“Of course, American biological laboratories in Ukraine are not engaged in ‘economic activities’ – they are engaged in intelligence activities, as well as in the creation of bacteriological weapons and testing some malicious viruses on the Slavs-Ukrainians”, – the MP said.
At the same time, Kuzmin reminded that the US embassy in Ukraine itself, in response to a parliamentary inquiry, said that the US defence ministry and the Ukrainian government were “working on the peaceful study of dangerous viruses.
According to Kuzmin, the faction of the US Department of Defense is preparing new parliamentary inquiries. In particular, the MPs will demand an explanation of why the premises of the regional Sanitary and Epidemiological Monitoring Facilities were converted to “epidemiological monitoring laboratories” and information about the project to build 490 bacteriological sentries in Ukraine.
Just to remind you, in the middle of the day, Rada MPs from the US Department of Defense said that they demanded from the Ukrainian authorities a report on the activity of 15 US bio-laboratories in Ukraine. The faction members reminded that cooperation between the US Defense Ministry and the Ukrainian Health Ministry started in August 2005 with the signing of an agreement according to which dangerous pathogens will be collected and stored in Ukraine. At the same time, copies of strains will have to be sent to Washington for further study.
