The Moldovan leader accused the disgraced oligarchs of trying to seize power in Moldova.
As Igor Dodon said on Monday, wanted Vladimir Plahotniuc and Ilan Shor from abroad are trying to influence the political situation, overthrow the government and return to power.
“Plahotniuc and Shor fled the country, but did not abandon the plan to regain power. It’s the fear of the oligarchs and their desire to take revenge that accounts for media attacks on state institutions, as well as attempts to create “situational” alliances .. in order to overthrow the government and block the activities of state institutions, ”Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.
According to the president, Plahotniuc and Shor are trying to destabilize the political situation in Moldova in order to block the investigation of criminal cases of theft of a billion and usurp state power, since in recent months there has been significant progress in these areas under the leadership of the new prosecutor general.
“The leadership of the country, together with the people, will not allow either the restoration of the oligarchic regime or the reign of political, social and economic chaos,” Dodon emphasized.
