Victoria Skripal, the niece of former GRU employee Sergei Skripal, said she did not know anything about the move of her uncle and his daughter Julia to New Zealand, as previously reported by the media.
“I don’t know anything about this. But I don’t believe in it, ” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
However, she believes that Sergei and Julia Skripal are still in the military industrial park Porton Down near the British city of Salisbury.
“It’s cheaper for the British government to support them than in New Zealand, and they don’t have enough money to support themselves there,” Victoria Skripal said.
In her opinion, information in the media about the move of the Skripals is “just a distraction.”
Earlier, the newspaper The Sunday Times, citing a source in the British government, reported that Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia moved to New Zealand, where they live under new names.
