The forces of the Libyan National Army under the command of Khalifa Haftar launched a counterattack east of the city of Misrat. This was stated by the official representative of the LNA Ahmed al-Mismari.
“Our armed forces launched a counterattack against armed groups supported by Turkey (PNS) in the Khish region east of Misrata after a series of airstrikes on our aircraft from enemy positions,” Mismari said.
The LNA representative noted that air support to ground forces continues.
The LNA also announced the reflection of attempts by the PNS forces to attack the city of Sirte. According to recent reports, the fighting has moved beyond the administrative boundaries of the city.
