In the US Congress, a bipartisan group of senators has identified a list of entities that will be subject to new sanctions.
All of them are connected with the launch of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
“Congressmen plan to adopt legislation that will expand US sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which is being built by Gazprom between Russia and Germany, targeting insurance companies working with Russian courts after the project is completed,” Bloomberg said.
The new invention of American senators will concern companies that provide underwriting, insurance or reinsurance services for vessels operating on the pipeline and for companies that provide services or facilities for modernizing technology, installing welding equipment or modernizing ships.
