The Parliament of Poland passed a vote of confidence in the government

The lower house of the Polish parliament expressed a vote of confidence in the country’s Minister of Health Lukasz Schumowski, and thereby the entire government.

235 deputies of the Sejm voted for expressing a vote of confidence in the government – 100% of representatives of the ruling Law and Justice party, 219 voted against, two abstained.

Earlier, the opposition initiated a vote on a vote of no confidence in the head of the Ministry of Health, accusing him of various omissions in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

In response, Prime Minister Mateusz Moravecki appealed to the Sejm for a vote of confidence in the entire government.
