Protests in solidarity with the Americans ended in riots in London

Mass demonstrations against police violence unfolded in London on June 3.

The British followed the example of US protesters who took to the streets after the murder of black man George Floyd by the police. They repeated not only the action itself: the procession turned into riots very quickly, as in many American cities.

A few hours after the start of the protests, a video appeared on Twitter and other social networks how people climb onto the fence of Downing Street – the residence of the Prime Minister, where the government is going.

At the same time, Evening Standard reported that several demonstrators attacked the police. One of them was hit hard in the face while the rest of the crowd tried to break into the building.

Celebrities also joined the protests. Actor from the last three parts of Star Wars, John Boyega, also came to Hyde Park.
