The number of unemployed increased by 169,000 from April to May. This was announced on Wednesday by the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg. The unemployment rate rose 0.3 points to 6.1 percent. Compared to May 2019, the number of unemployed increased by 577,000 people.
