The presence of Russia at the G7 summit requires common sense. This opinion was expressed by the President of the United States Donald Trump.
He noted that this will facilitate the solution of many problems.
“He (Putin) helped us with the oil industry, which is good for him too, and we raised it and now we can save millions of jobs in Texas, North Dakota and other places in Oklahoma. Now the production there is stable. Oil prices fell to 0, which would have cost 5 million jobs. But in general, this is not a question of what Putin has done. This is a matter of common sense. We have a G7, it (Putin) is not there, and half of the meetings are devoted to Russia. If he was there, it would be much easier to solve them, ” he said.
Trump previously postponed the G-7 summit from late June to September, while declaring his intention to invite the leaders of Russia, South Korea, Australia and India. Great Britain and Canada opposed Russia’s participation in the summit; France and Germany called for a solution to this issue together.
