US riots in numbers

• 200 cities and megacities of the USA are covered by protests, in 140 of them they took the form of violent pogroms;

• 69,000 National Guard soldiers were taken out onto the streets. The Pentagon military police were sent to help them;

• 23 states use the National Guard to suppress riots. Curfews have been announced in 40 cities;

• Dozens of people died from gunfire and fire during the riots. In Philadelphia alone, the number of victims is estimated at eleven;

• Nine police officers were injured, one of them died. Law enforcement officers in New York, Las Vegas and St. Louis got the most;

• The number of detained rioters across the country has exceeded 5,000.
