Trump, with a Bible in his hands, went around the neighborhood of the White House, affected by fires and vandalism during the protests.
After speaking at the White House Rose Garden about fighting the riots in the country that broke out after the death of African American George Floyd in Minneapolis, Trump, escorted by security guards and journalists, went to Lafayette Square (previously “cleaned up” of the protesters with tear gas and light noise grenades).
Trump walked past the walls inscribed by the protesters and stopped near the church of St. John. The President raised the Bible in his right hand, meaningly was silent for a while, and then declared:
“We have a beautiful country. The most beautiful in the world. And we will make it even more beautiful, better than ever”.
After his speech, he returned to the White House.
