The implementation of the decisions of the Paris meeting of the “Norman Four” needs to be given momentum, said German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
“We discussed it in the “Norman format” (on April 30) and held meetings in the format video conferences, during which we were united. We discussed that the implementation of the decisions of the meeting of the “Norman format” in Paris requires a new impetus. We also talked about this today”, – he said at a press conference following talks with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmitry Kuleba, in Berlin.
According to him, Ukraine and the conflict in the east of the country will be important topics of the upcoming German presidency in the EU in the second half of the year, but Maas refused to talk about the possibility of a new summit during the German presidency.
“With regard to the issue of the event, we are all dependent on the development of the situation around the pandemic”, – Maas added.
