Secret Service agents hid the US President Donald Trump in an underground bunker during protests at the White House in Washington. It is reported by The New York Times.
According to the publication, hundreds of protesting Americans came to the presidential administration. They shouted curses at Trump, and sometimes threw bricks and bottles. In this regard, it was decided to hide the head of state in an underground bunker, which was used in the past for terrorist attacks.
It is noted that some advisers recommended that the American leader make an appeal to the nation in order to prevent increased protests. However, on Sunday, May 31, he was not engaged in public activities.
Due to the tense atmosphere, White House officials were advised to stay at home. Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser imposed a curfew in the city, and also employed the national guard to resolve the situation.
Previously unknown persons defeated the star of Donald Trump on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Presumably, this is due to the protests that swept dozens of US cities, accompanied by riots, vandalism and attacks on the police. The reason for them was the death of the black guard George Floyd in Minneapolis (Minnesota), who died after a gross arrest.
During the clashes, two policemen received gunshot wounds, one of whom died. The US authorities said that any skirmishes with the police or threats to law enforcement agencies are regarded as acts of internal terrorism.
