Thomas Yarzombek, the Federal Ministry of Economics’s Commissioner for Digital Economy and Startups, invited the American company Twitter to relocate to Germany amid criticism of the leadership of the social network by US President Donald Trump.
“Haye, Twitter and Jack (Dorsey) (creator of the social network) is an invitation to move to Germany. Here you will be free to criticize the government, as well as the fight against fake news. We have a great ecosystem for startups and technology companies, your company will fit perfectly, and I’ll open any doors for you”, – Yarzombek wrote on Twitter, not forgetting to mention Trump in the message.
US President Donald Trump previously threatened to strictly regulate or completely “shut down” social networks if they continued to drown out the voices of conservatives.
This happened after the system of the social network Twitter designated one of Trump’s messages as containing a lie and placed a warning icon under it asking users to familiarize themselves with the facts about the voting by mail. The link in this signature leads to a special Twitter page, which begins with a link to an Politico article under the headline “Trump makes unsubstantiated claims that voting by mail leads to falsification of results”. The following is a brief excerpt from Twitter of three points, listing what Trump said incorrectly, and below is a selection of publications on the same topic.
