Twitter explained its policy concerning Trump

The “badge” designation of the US President Donald Trump on Twitter is due to the social network’s policy regarding the honesty of public events, News Front reports with reference to a message from the social security service.

Prior to this, Twitter identified one of the messages of the American leader as containing a lie. A warning symbol was placed under the tweet asking users to familiarize themselves with the facts about voting by mail.

Trump in response to this accused Twitter of interfering in the presidential election and suppressing freedom of speech.

“We’ve added a note to two postings by US President Donald Trump about California mailing plans as part of our policy on fairness for public events. We believe these tweets can confuse voters about what they need to do, to receive the ballot and take part in the election process”, – the social security service said in a statement.
