There are no prerequisites for holding the “Norman Summit”, which all participants in the process agree with, Alexei Paramonov, director of the First European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said.
“With regard to the convening of the next summit in the “Norman format”, all participants in the process agree that at present there are no prerequisites for this”, – the reporters quoted Paramonov as saying.
According to him, now it is necessary first of all to work on the implementation of the agreements reached at the last meeting of the “Norman Four” in December 2019.
“Indeed, out of nine points of the final document of this summit, only one part has been completed, and even then partly – the exchange of retained persons”, – the director of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
In mid-May, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced that France and Germany supported the idea of a new meeting in the “Norman format” for a settlement in the Donbass.
