Libyan writer and researcher Djibrail al-Ubeidi stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is obsessed with the idea of reviving the Ottoman Empire, and therefore decided to intervene in the internal affairs of Libya. He spoke about this in his material for Asharq al-Awsat.
According to al-Ubeidi, after the Turkish attack on an air base in Al-Vatyi region from a warship, Turkish attacks on the cities of Tarhun, Al-Asaba, Sabrat and Sarman, the Muslim Brotherhood fighters (an organization banned in Russia) were able to move inland and capture the above cities.
The author of the material warned that this poses a terrorist threat not only to Libya, but also to neighboring countries. He also said that Erdogan encroaches on the sovereignty of a UN member state and violates international resolutions.
