On video the Su-30 and F-16 fighters of the Venezuelan Air Force (Aviacion Militar Bolivariana) were escorted by an Iranian tanker.
It should be added that the U.S. was strongly opposed to the supply of Iranian oil to N. Maduro and stated the possibility of applying measures against Iran. Iran and Venezuela are already under US sanctions and have nothing to lose.
