The American administration has been discussing for a week the question of returning to nuclear testing practice, which was stopped 18 years ago.

According to media reports, the use of nuclear weapons for demonstration purposes was discussed at the end of last week. The meeting was attended by officials from a number of departments responsible for national security. They failed to reach an agreement.
One source told reporters that the discussion was ongoing, while another claimed that it was decided to use other methods in the framework of anti-Chinese and anti-Russian policies.
The publication tried to take a comment from representatives of the National Security Council, but they refused to answer questions there.
