You may not agree that Crimea reunited with Russia, but this fact is not a reason for the buildup of Russophobia in the Scandinavian countries.
This was told by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Hans Martin Blix.
“Russia is not a threat to the countries of Scandinavia, in particular to Sweden,” the politician said.
He noted that Sweden had already “spent tens of billions on preparations for an unlikely attack by Russia.” Moreover, from year to year, under the same pretext, the military department asks for ever larger amounts.
Blix calls Scandinavian Russophobia itself a consequence of the anti-Russian campaign launched by Western countries. He himself expressed confidence that Russia is not a threat.
