If the fugitive oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc manages to lure 2-3 more deputies from the Democratic Party, then the parliament will be dissolved.
This statement was made by President of Moldova Igor Dodon.
According to him, amid the fact that the criminal “buys MPs from PDM for 500-600 thousand euros,” the legislative body of the republic is losing public confidence.
“It’s a shame when 14-15 deputies have already been bought, and they left the faction. And they went to [Andrian] Kand, [Ilan] Shore, this whole gang. I want to assure that if another 2-3 deputies from the ruling coalition leave, we will dissolve the parliament, ” the president said.
He emphasized that he considers the best option to hold presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously on November 1. A representative of the Party of Socialists has already appealed to the Constitutional Court for clarification of whether such a scenario is possible.
