The Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated criminal proceedings against Ayder Muzhdabaev, one of the leaders of the ATR television channel, an extremist organization controlled by the Mejlis.
According to Muzhdabaev himself, the case was instituted under Part 2 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia, that is, for his calls for terrorist activities, public acquittal and propaganda of terrorism. The resolution of the RF IC Muzhdabaev published on a social network.
The reason for the decision was a publication on a social network, where Muzhdabaev called for the Ukrainian terrorist Oleg Sentsov to be rescued by force when he was in a Russian prison for preparing a terrorist attack in Crimea.
