A passenger plane crashed in Pakistan on Friday, May 22. There were 99 passengers and 8 crew members on board, said a representative of PIA, the airline that owned the plane.
The plane, which was flying from Lahore to Karachi, crashed minutes before landing. The crash occurred in an inhabited area and resulted in damage to a number of houses. No reports of casualties among the local population have been made yet.
A Pakistan International Airlines plane collapsed directly on residential buildings near the airport where it was to land.
The Ministry of Health has declared an emergency situation in all major hospitals in connection with the plane crash.
