A batch of ventilators will arrive from the United States to Russia on Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
“A batch of artificial lung ventilation devices arrives in Moscow from the USA today with an American specialboard. This delivery was carried out in accordance with the agreements that were reached between the presidents of Russia and the USA”, – Zakharova said at a briefing.
She emphasized that we are talking about “sincere, humanitarian gestures and interaction in emergency conditions, providing assistance free of charge”.
Earlier, the US President Donald Trump said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin accepted his proposal to supply artificial lung ventilation devices to the Russian Federation to help patients with coronavirus, while Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Washington was already providing assistance to Russia.
