Turkey and Russia continue joint patrols in Syria

As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, the monitoring teams continue to monitor compliance with the ceasefire.

According to the information bulletin of the Centre for Reconciliation of Hostile Parties and Monitoring of Refugee Movements in the Syrian Arab Republic dated 20 May 2020, the Russian part of the office of the joint Russian-Turkish commission for consideration of issues related to violations of the cessation of hostilities recorded four cases of open fire in Idlib province.

The Turkish part of the Mission recorded one shooting in Idlib province.

In addition, food kits (500 pcs., totalling 1,925 tons) were distributed to the civilian population through the local authorities in the village of El Husseinya.
