Biden commented on the public record of Poroshenko’s conversations: They’re seriously edited

The hype surrounding their publication isn’t worth the egg eaten, headquarters said.

The conversation recordings of the fifth Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, and Joe Biden, who held the post of the US vice president in 2015, have been seriously edited. This is how Andrew Bates, a representative of Biden’s election headquarters, commented on the released materials, The Washington Post wrote.

Bates is sure that the materials are seriously edited, and all the hype around their publication is not worth the egg.

Also, representatives of Biden stressed that, just as in the case of US President Donald Trump’s pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to continue the investigation against Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and the former president himself, these tapes confirm the consistent US foreign policy towards Ukraine. The statements by Biden and Poroshenko, which were made in public later, also do not differ from what was recorded on the tapes.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on 19 May, Derkach made public audio materials which, according to him, can testify to the influence of the former US Vice President Joseph Biden on the fifth Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The released recordings refer to the dismissal of Prosecutor-General Viktor Shokin, which became one of the conditions for the US financial support of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that today the mass media reported that the Prosecutor-General’s Office entered information into the unified register of pre-trial investigations into Derkach tapes and accused Poroshenko of treason.
