In Chile, there were riots in spontaneous protests against restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Most of the protests took place on the outskirts of Santiago, where people’s standard of living and food shortages have decreased significantly.
In particular, in the south of the capital, about a hundred protesters attacked the police. Law enforcers had to use water cannons to disperse the crowd.
Earlier, the Chilean authorities had decided to distribute 2.5 million food kits to families in need.
